Antonio Citterio diseñador sin igual, mundialmente reconocido por la genialidad de sus obras Antonio Citterio or as we often call Knight of Italian design (due to its numerous creations), born in 1950 in Meda, Province of Milan in Lombardy. The Italian is a master of timeless design. He began to create more than 40 years ago and 13 years designed his first piece in the carpentry workshop of his father. At 18 he received a design award by a cupboard handmade, with only 22 years, and before he even finished his degree in architecture in Milan, opened his first studio. Currently about 50 employees work on international projects of architecture, design and interior design.

Currently, Antonio Citterio works with major Italian and international companies: Ansorg, Arclinea, Axor / Hansgrohe, Aubrilam, B & amp; B Italia, Flexform, Flos, Fusital, Guzzini, Iittala, Inda, Kartell, Maxalto, Sanitec Group / Pozzi Ginori, Simon urmet, Technogym, Tre Più and Vitra. I received numerous awards, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1987 and 1995. The designs of the Mobil and Battista products that Citterio designed for Kartell, are part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. A gentleman architect and design, with large projects with outstanding passing the test of time. This durability is applied to many of your furniture, everyday objects and buildings. His creations are fully recognizable: functional, sober, very technically studied. Antonio Citterio is a representative of the best Italian design and, despite all his success, has not lost his keen sense of the needs of people. What we need is the luxury of simplicity, what we want and what we need: for all is a compelling way at the right time.

What is the secret to continue working after more than 40 years?

The living room Milan Furniture has met 51 years, I've been going for the last 41 and in each edition always think, oh !, there are many good people and I'm not doing anything. They are jealous of the creativity of others, but I always want to do better. If you never stop to think, never stop working. Fortunately, this is the motivation to continue in office. And I keep thinking, maybe a year, when I grow up, I'll do better.

That is, the secret is not to stop ...

The main laboratory of ideas Citterio is in the center of Milan, on a side street near the Duomo. It is a sober bill contemporary building designed by his studio, with a granite facade, like many classical buildings in Milan, and large windows. Designer's office is on the top floor.
